My name is Mychelle Mason. I am a senior at Lake Shore High School, class of 2016. I have a twin sister, her name is Jayme. I have always had a passion for animals. I have two turtles, a cat, and a dog. I strive to do my best at all times. I care greatly about my grades as I enjoy being in school learning new things. My favorite subject to learn would have to be mathematics. I would describe myself as a positive and responsible person. I spend a lot of my free time outside of my school activities with the little kids in my neighborhood, family, and friends. I enjoy going camping in the summer and skiing in the winter.
My academic goals for high school are to achieve a 3.8 or higher and to take classes that challenge me. The career field I would like to pursue is in sound production. I get involved in activities at school such as band, geek squad, auditorium staff, mock trial, ski club, and most importantly the National honor society. Throughout my experience at Lake Shore so far I have learned many life skills. The two main life skills I have learned through band is self discipline and time management. Through the band experience I have also gained the skill that you have to give respect to get it. Always take responsibility for what you say and do. My goal for the future is to have a large family and live in the country preferably up north or in the western part of the United States.
A quote that inspires me is by a man named George Santayana. The quote states “Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it”. This quote speaks to me in many ways. One way this quote inspires me is that in history the more knowledge you have shows the understanding of the world that we live. These words said, personally, mean even in the darkest of days you need to remember the feelings and words said. Remember what makes you a positive person to see the bright light in the end. Like George Santayana once said those who do not remember are those who are most likely to repeat it.
